Training on “Preparation of value added fish products” conducted at Dr. M.G.R. FC & RI, Ponneri

Dr. M.G.R. Fisheries College and Research Institute, Ponneri conducted two days training programme on “Preparation of value added fish products” from 29.11.2018 to 30.11.2018. Dr.B.Ahilan, Dean of the institute inaugurated the programme and encouraged the participants to make use of the learning opportunity efficiently. A total of twelve trainees from various parts of the State participated in the training. During the training, various aspects in the preparation of value added fish products were taught to the participants by the faculty of Dept. of Fish Processing Technology (DFPT). In the second day of training, participants were given hands-on experience in the Post-Harvest Research and Incubation Center (PHRIC) functioning under the DFPT. In the valedictory ceremony, Dean and faculty of DFPT distributed certificates to the participants. Dr. L. Surulivel, Asst. Professor, DFEES coordinated the arrangements for the training programme.
