Pongal Festival was Celebrated at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi

Pongal festival, the celebration of the first harvest of farmers, was celebrated with cultural ferver at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi on 10.01.2019. Students and staff from Fisheries College and Research Institute, participated in the festival with traditional attire. Dr.B.Sundaramoorthi, Dean, Fisheries College and Research Institute inaugurated the festival. A grand Pongal of rice and sugar candy was arranged with traditional songs and dance by the students. As a major event, Kabadi competition was held between two teams from the College. The Team ‘Vanchinathan’ won the I st prize at a sharp margin with applause and claps from the supporters. Following the kabadi match, a Rangoli competition was arranged with 4 batches of B.F.Sc of students. The II nd year B.F.Sc students won the prize following which the Pot breaking competition was held and Mr.Jayaprakesh of II M.F.Sc won the medal. Tug of War was also arranged with staff and students and the staff team won the prize. The events were organized and supervised by the Dean, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi. The Vice president of Student’s Association, Dr. S. David Kingston and the Physical Director, Dr. Natarajan, made arrangements for the various programmes of the Pongal festival.

தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் பொங்கல் விழா சிறப்பாக கொண்டாடப்பட்டது

தூத்துக்குடி மீன்வளக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் பொங்கல் விழா 10.01.2020 அன்று விமரிசையாக கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. மீன்வளக்கல்லூரி மாணவர்கள், ஆசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் அலுவலக ஊழியர்கள் அனைவரும் பாரம்பரிய உடை அணிந்து விழாவினனை சிறப்பாக கொண்டாடினர். காலை 10.30மணிக்கு கல்லூரி முதல்வர் முனைவர் பா.சுந்தரமூர்த்தி விழாவினை குத்துவிளக்கேற்றி தொடங்கி வைத்தார். தொடக்க விழாவில் பொங்கல் வைத்து மாணவர்களின் மேள தாளத்துடன்ன ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்ட போட்டிகள் ஆரம்பமாயின. முதலில் முக்கிய போட்டியான கபடிப் போட்டி சிறப்பாக நடத்தப்பட்டது. இப்போட்டியில் வாஞ்சுநாதன் அணி வெற்றி பெற்றது. அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து நடைபெற்ற ரங்கோலி போட்டியில் இரண்டாம் ஆண்டு மாணவிகள் வெற்றி பெற்றனர். பின்னர் உறியடி போட்டி நடத்தப்பட்டது. இப்போட்டியில் முதலாம் ஆண்டு முதுநிலை மாணவர் திரு.ஜெயபிரகாஷ் வெற்றி பெற்றார். இறுதியாக கயிறு இழுக்கும் போட்டி ஆசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் மாணவர்கள் அணிகளுக்கிடையே கோலாகலமாக நடைபெற்றது. இதில் ஆசிரியர் அணி வெற்றிபெற்று பரிசினை தட்டிச் சென்றது. இறுதியாக அனைத்து மாணவர்கள், மாணவிகள் மற்றும் ஆசிரியர்களுக்கும் பொங்கல், கரும்பு மற்றும் இனிப்புகள் வழங்கப்பட்டன. போட்டிகள் அனைத்தும் முதல்வர் முன்னிலையில் சிறப்பாக நடைபெற்றன. போட்டிக்கான ஏற்பாடுகளை மாணவர் உதவி தலைவர் முனைவர் சா.டேவிட் கிங்கிஸ்டன் மற்றும் விளையாட்டு இயக்குநர் முனைவர் நடராஜன் ஆகியோர் சிறப்பாக செய்திருந்தனர்.
