New Boys Hostel inaugurated at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi

A newly constructed Boys Hostel was inaugurated by Dr. P.S. Pandey, Ph.D., Assistant Director General (EP & HS), Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi through video conference on 12.11.2020 at Fisheries College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, Thoothukudi. This Boys Hostel has been constructed under the funding support of ICAR Development Grant with an outlay of Rs. 115 lakhs. The inaugural function was presided by Dr. G. Sugumar, Vice Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, Nagapattinam. In his presidential address, he said that the more students of Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University have secured higher ranking in ICAR JRF Exam 2020 and he has appreciated the contribution of staff and students for this achievement He also recognized the generous funding support of ICAR, New Delhi to Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University for facilitating teaching learning process through ICAR Development Grant. Dr. P.S. Pandey, Ph.D., Assistant Director General (EP&HS), Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi ,in his inaugural address he has appreciated the performance of Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University and the students for their involvement in securing higher positions in ICAR JRF exam 2020. Dr. B. Sundaramoorthi, Dean, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi has delivered the welcome address. Dr. R. Santhakumar, Professor and Warden proposed vote of thanks. The Deputy Wardens, Mr.D. Durairaja and Mrs. Manimekali, made arrangements for the inauguration of newly constructed Boys Hostel.
