The Institute of Fisheries Biotechnology (IFBT) is a constituent college of TNFU located at Old Mahabhalipuram Road, near Vaniyanchavadi, Padur (P.O), Chennai. IFBT offers B. Tech (Biotechnology) from the academic year 2017-18. B. Tech (Biotechnology) is a four year (8 semester) programme. Considering the developments taking place in the field of Biotechnology, ICAR has already introduced B. Tech – (Biotechnology) programme in SAUs with common syllabus including Agriculture and Animal husbandry. This programme is also based on ICAR common syllabus with elective subjects in Fisheries Biotechnology.
