Dr. N. Felix holds various positions as Director and Registrar of Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University, Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu, India. With an impressive career spanning 32 years, he has honed his expertise in the fields of aquaculture and fish nutrition. Notably, he has spearheaded a remarkable array of 30 aquaculture projects, both as the Principal and Co-Investigator, encompassing six collaborative endeavours with industry partners. Additionally, he has provided mentorship to 45 postgraduate students in their academic pursuits.

His contributions to the domain are further underscored by his prolific publication record, boasting an impressive tally of 200 works in the areas of aquaculture and fish nutrition. His innovative spirit has led to the development of 12 pioneering technologies. His dedication and excellence have earned him a slew of accolades, including the Best Teacher Award, Best Researcher Award, Best Paper Award, Best Scientist Award and recognition for his pioneering contributions to new technologies. Furthermore, he has been granted international funding support to present his research in various countries, such as Thailand, Malaysia, China, Vietnam and Indonesia.

In addition to his scholarly endeavours, Dr. Felix has demonstrated his commitment to knowledge dissemination by organizing more than 100 training sessions, seminars and workshops, covering a wide spectrum of topics, including fish culture, ornamental fish culture and feed preparation. He has also been instrumental in establishing infrastructure facilities for the university, with a cumulative investment of Rs. 30 crores.
