Training on “Preparation of value added fish products” conducted at Dr. M.G.R. FC & RI, Ponneri

Dr. M.G.R. Fisheries College and Research Institute, Ponneri conducted two days training programme on “Preparation of value added fish products” from 06.08.2019 to 07.08.2019. A total of eight trainees from various parts of the State participated in the training. During the training, various aspects in the preparation of value added fish products were taught to the participants by the faculty of Dept. of Fish Processing Technology (DFPT). In the second day of training, participants were given hands-on experience in the Post-Harvest Research and Incubation Center (PHRIC) functioning under the DFPT. In the valedictory ceremony, Dr. B. Ahilan, Dean of the institute distributed the participation certificates to the trainees and encouraged them to make use of the learning opportunity efficiently into an entrepreneurial career. Ms. Agnes Daney Angela, Asst. Professor & Head, DFEES coordinated the arrangements for the training programme.
