Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Chennai Campus signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on June 24, 2024, at TNJFU Nagapattinam. The MoU aims to foster collaboration through research projects and academic programs. Its primary objective is to enhance interaction and cooperation between the faculty, staff, and students of both universities by facilitating joint academic and research programs, co-supervision of doctoral and master's students, and mutual visits and faculty exchange programs. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, renowned for its pioneering research in AI, IoT, and other cutting-edge technologies, is partnering with TNJFU, a leader in fisheries education and research. This partnership synergizes the strengths of both the institutions to tackle the complex challenges in the fisheries sector. Additionally, the collaboration aims to strengthen technological, social, and cultural relationships. The MoU was signed by Dr. Cheryl Antony, Director of Research i/c, TNJFU, and Cmde R. Ravi Sankar (Retd), Additional Director (Academia-Industry Partnership), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Chennai Campus, in the presence of Dr. N. Felix, ViceChancellor, TNJFU. The other officials present were Dr. M. Rajakumar, Registrar; Dr. Mohammad Tanveer, Dean i/c; Dr. M. Kamalakannan, Assistant Professor, CoFE; Dr. K. Venkatasubramanian, Chair; and Dr. C. Ganesh Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics & Communications Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Chennai Campus.
