State Referral Lab for Aquatic Animal Health, Madhavaram

Disease is the major factor affecting the production in the fish farming and the fish population in the wild. Aquatic animal health management includes prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease in fish and other aquatic organisms. State Referral Laboratory for Aquatic Animal Health caters to the diagnostic needs of the farmers undertaking aquaculture across the state besides undertaking disease surveillance in the natural water bodies. The lab has the state-of-art diagnostic facilities to undertake advanced diagnosis of diseases in commercially important fish and shell fish.
