Exciting Job Opportunity for Fish Pathologists

  • The Diagnostic Services Laboratory at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), UPEI, is inviting applications for a Fish Pathologist to join their team in a full-time contract position (11.5 months, with the possibility of extension).
  • This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to aquatic animal health in Canada’s dynamic aquaculture sector, working alongside a dedicated team in diagnostic pathology

Key responsibilities include:


  • Necropsy and histopathology of finfish and shellfish
  • Collaboration with bacteriology, virology, parasitology, and other diagnostic units
  • Supporting clients across Atlantic Canada and internationally

Requirements:


  • DVM (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in fish/shellfish pathology
  • ACVP board certification or eligibility is an asset
  • Clinical aquaculture experience preferred
  • Start date: Immediate
  • Location: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada

Functioning of University Placement cell

  • University placement cell Co-ordinator is responsible for recruitment drive of all constituent colleges/Institutes.
  • co-ordinating with the Institute placement cell for collection of date of the candidates and companies, maintaining and updating the database.
  • Creation and updation of university placement cell portal for facilitating students registration and maintaining the database in coordination with Web Administrator.
  • Notifying the students about placement activities and job opportunities.
  • Organising campus recruitment programmes to facilitate recruitment of students
